Dr. Raven-Deneice Carouthers, DDS, is a dedicated dental professional currently working as a Staff Dentist at HOPE Clinic and Harris Health Dental Clinics. She also serves as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, School of Dentistry. She holds a B.A. in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from Rice University and a D.D.S. from the University of Texas School of Dentistry at Houston. Dr. Carouthers completed her General Practice Residency at Jesse Brown Veterans Affairs Hospital in Chicago.
Her accolades include the American Dental Association Institute for Teaching and Learning Underrepresented Faculty Tuition Scholarship and the Academy of Dentistry International Student Leadership Award. Dr. Carouthers is also committed to community service, participating in dental mission trips and local volunteer events.
In addition to her clinical work, she has held teaching positions and presented at various professional meetings. Dr. Carouthers has also authored articles on topics such as dental anxiety management and lifelong learning in dentistry.
