Biography

Dr. Bona graduated with a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the Universidad Autónoma de Honduras located in Tegucigalpa, Honduras.

She earned a M.S., and her certification in pediatric dentistry from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, MA. She was also a part of the Fellowship Mini-Residency Program in Dental Education Learning and Teaching Academy (DELTA). Dr. Bona is also a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. She is fluent in English and Spanish. Her research of interest includes infant oral health, prevention of dental trauma, and cleft lip and palate.

Currently she is a faculty member at UTHealth where she teaches our pediatric dentistry residents. In her own words, she states, “I have dedicated my efforts at UTSOD to educating future generations of dentists. It has been a rewarding experience that I will always cherish”.
